Small credit union stakes claim as the next big thing

On May 1, 2023, School Systems Federal Credit Union officially relaunched as NextStep Federal Credit Union.

Just 10 months in the making, NextStep represents a quantum leap for the venerable institution. Under its new name, powered by a built-from-the-ground-up website, and focused on the accessibility and portability of modern credit union relationships, NextStep is positioning itself to be the adventuring alternative to big credit unions and banks.

This project is an excellent example of the advantages small and medium size businesses now have relative to their larger and more bureaucratic competitors.

Working collaboratively, POSTMKTG guided our client team through a step-by-step strategic branding process which resulted in short order in a new name, logo, tagline, social mission, website, signage, app, forms, everything. We then gained board approval, twice, developed and executed a pre-launch in-house campaign, executed a brand launch membership event (with all its accompanying tchotchkes), and developed a media and creative strategy for a public introduction this summer.

Following a soft introduction, the brand flipped the switch to NextStep on May 1, 2023.
