Cherry Hill Murders It!

This isn’t a big marketing story, just a good example of how easy it is for a business, school, or nonprofit to promote itself when it has a well-designed and easily managed website and a good collaborative marketing partner.

Historic Cherry Hill’s traditional October event series, spooky tours of the infamous 1827 murder at the mansion, sold out (and then some) during its final week (October 22-25). Over 200 attendees, even after it had to cancel a fully booked night of tours due to an electrical outage at the house. The museum has excellent in-house PR resources and was able to piggyback on cooperative Albany area Halloween promotions. All they had to do to ensure ticket sales was to post a notice on their website, which took no more than 15 minutes of agency time.
